  • The only one I've ever used is emusic. Their business model has changed since I last used it, but they do a variety of price plans, and the 20 dollar subscription amounts to 25 cents a track. The subscription is per-month, so there's no commitment except your 30 days.

Their track choices are a little, ahem, eclectic - but if what they have is your thing, you're laughing. Other plus points include VBR recordings, 70,000 albums available and no DRM so you can copy 'em wherever you like once you've paid up.

They do a free trial - I think it's the usual "give us your card details and cancel before the trial ends" affair, but it's good for 50 free tracks (which you can still keep at the end, whatever you decide) and it's a good way of checking out if it's for you or not.

I have no shares in the company :) but am an ex-subscriber who happened to like their catalogue and quality.

Gonna get back to you on this one when Merlin gets up. We have a good one that works out at about 60p an album. Has quite an exstensive selection. Can't remember what it is called though.

Posting so I can find me way back to it through the user cp, incase it gets moved.

    Edit to add-

Gonna pm it as not entirely sure it is legal. We think it is, but just in case.:D
I live in my own little world, but it's ok as everyone knows me here :)
