Having read all the above, I've changed my mind. They have no need or right to ask for your ethnicity or income - it's none of their business. Sdooley is right - sorry.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

We only complete such documents/forms which we are legally obliged to, such as income tax, electoral register etc.
If the form is not a legal requirement, then tell them where to get-off.In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -
Thank you everyone i think i will do as many people have said and either not fill it in or fill it in without disclosing earnings etc and write none of your blo**y business instead!!!!!I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0

I always refuse to answer any questions relating to 'ethnicity' - this is the sort of question the Nazis and the Apartheid regime in SA asked."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Hi there
On the home improvement point, the council can't take account of your income as a tenant. I think you're talking about a national requirement called the Decent Homes Standard - every council in England required to achieve this standard for its entire stock by 2010 - which includes things like bathrooms, kitchens and wiring. It's a huge scheme and there has been lots of rescheduling contracts, with promised works being shifted back where programmes slip.
No idea what your council is up to with the survey. I live in London and there are lots of problems with people leaving and selling the keys on to unauthorised occupants so councils here do try to check tenants IDs every so often. But it doesn't sound like that kind of survey.0 -
Is there anything on the form where you sign or anything that says words to the effect of "I confirm that the information I have given is correct".
If not just tell them you're a green jedi who earns £42bn a year.Bankruptcy isn't the worst that can happen to you. The worst that can happen is your forced to live the rest of your life in abject poverty trying to repay the debts.0 -
We usually get one of these every year, but IIRC they don't ask amounts you just tick the boxes for the benefits you do or don't recieve.
Our ones are also annonymous, so they don't know who has or hasn't filled one in.
And before sending it back, have you looked at the form under ultra violet light? If so, is there a pattern of dots?Do you still think that its anonymous?I can spell - but I can't type0 -
Our ones are anonymous too. They come complete with our tenancy reference number across the top!!!!0
