Capital One vs Halifax

in Credit cards
I have been browsing here looking at the (numerous) posts regarding Capital One's 0% on purchases deal till 1/10/09, but how many people have been offered the shorter time frame, now until 1/07/09.
People have also commented on the low credit limits given to them by Capital One and suggested Halifax 10 months 0% card as an alternative.
So here is my situation and any help/advice on which card would be better/more sucessful for me would be much appreciated.
I don't qualify with an "excellent" credit rating as I have only lived in the UK for just over 2 years (so probably only eligable for 1/07/09 Capital One card). I have just paid off a HSBC cc with a £4500 limit, that had 0% on purchases for 12 months. Working full time, £29K.
I am looking for another 0% card for as long as possible to purchase some flights and my annual train ticket (this was also what the HSBC card was used for) so want a limit of about £3000.
Which provider do you think will be more likely to give me the desired £3000 limit? Are there any other factors that I should be taking into consideration when I make my choice?
Thanks again.

As you know, Capital One operates a rate-for-risk policy. This means it reserves the right to issue the credit card it deems most suitable from its range. In the worst cases you can be sent a totally different & unsuitable card, leaving you with a wasted search on your credit file. Judging from posts to this board, this happens frequently, so it's important to consider first whether you’ve a realistic chance of being accepted.
The heavily advertised Cap One BT cards require an "excellent" credit rating as defined on the C1 website (eg. have a credit card with limit of at least £5000, held a card for 5 years etc.) and unfortunately you cannot meet those criteria.
The Halifax All in One deal which offers 0% on purchases for 10 months is definitely a
better bet
