Can I pay directly into someone elses account from my CC?

Rather than transferring funds from my Egg card to my account first,is it possible to transfer the money I need directly to the sellers account?

Cheers

    Ok,thanks good point.

Basically,I'm buying a used car and need to get £1500 from my card into the sellers account as he'll only accept cash or bankers draft(private seller)-is the only way to do this to transfer funds from CC to my account then do an online transfer to his account(as my account allows me to do this) or is there an easier way to carry out this transaction?

    Thanks again

Assuming you have the Egg Card (Visa), the T&C's say the destination account has to be your own (or belong to an additional cardholder).

However, they're not to know it isn't your account...are they?

Then again, if you're making a transfer to an account you haven't transferred to before, Egg may call you for security reasons.

If they ask if it's your account, you then have two choices...tell the truth or lie.

Personally, and for the sake of a few more days, I'd transfer to my current account and pay the vendor from there.
