how do i do that, i thought i had escalated it....
update, i have escalated it, the seller has submitted a tracking number ( obviously its not a proper one as it wasn't sent recorded so the number sent it just a reference of proof of posting)
paypal said they will mail me on the 8th with thier decision0 -
That happened to me. It stll took Paypal about another 10 days to settle the claim in my favour though. When the "tracking" number obviously isn't a real one then I don't know why they don't settle straight away.0

hi, the item was only 20.00 plus 8.00 delivery charge. I'm guessing it prob didnt cost that much to send
!(its a big item!)
Have to stop you there!
3KG = £6.85
4KG = £9.30
That will be with Standard Parcels 3-5 days and it often takes 5 and fairly often more.
People encouraging the op to open a dispute seem to be forgetting this. The op is protected for 45 days. OP says the item is needed urgently, how will a starting a dispute help? The seller was responding to emails, evidently not up to anything unscrupulous so why go down a confrontational approach?funily enough since i've opened the dispute i havent heard anything from him, before the dispute i was geting daily mails asking if it had arrived etc
Is that surprising. Anything he was saying obviously didn't make any difference and once it's under paypal's jurisdiction it certainly won't.
....and just think if you'd shown a little more patience what's to say come early next week the seller wouldn't of sent you another one out.0 -

Ebay used to have a page telling impatiant people to wait so many days for the post and to contact the seller.
Now they just tell you to put in a paypal claim.
Seller loses stars, stars means discounts, ebay get more money.
Note how there's always a pattern with the changes on ebay..."Love you Dave Brooker! x"
"i sent a letter headded sales of god act 1979"0 -
even though it was a big item its not heavy...it was a roll of foam that i bought0

I posted an item on the 26th Aug 2nd class RM, it arrived on the 3rd September. I would have waited a little bit longer before escalating to a claim as it is quite possible that you will get your item and your money back!
My buyer was a little concerned but only sent me one email and waited a little bit longer. Paypal were not brought into it at all.0 -
2nd class i'd expect to wait longer, first class i'd expect a bit quicker, its been over a week and the item still hasn't arrived0
