This doesn't seem to be the case, Halcyon. The problem lies in the 'standing' part of a 'standing order'.

I know that ING allows future dated withdrawals to your bank account to be created - but I suspect that it only one-at-a-time. Also, ING won't currently allow you to pay to any other account except a nominated bank account [by a 'reverse' direct debit?], AFAIK.

Current accounts should allow the creation of 'online banking' [or 'bill payment'] details for as many separate organisations' bank accounts as you want - these payments go through the 'BACS' system - but, again only one at a time, AFAIK [The much-missed Zurich Bank account was more sophisticated and may have allowed the specification of repated 'one-off' future payments up to 12 months ahead :(] [You might like to ask ING if they would do a BACS payment for you - as many savings accounts do - but I wouldn't 'bank' on it :-[]

Egg offers the equivalent one-off payments, but not future dated ones, unless you phone or message them to request these - so a bit inconvient.

The 'new' cahoot account allows future dated 'one-off' payments - although I have not tried this yet - so combines the features of both other accounts.

In the absence of anything more, therefore, you are left with the option of setting up advanced payments one month at a time or else going for a higher interest bank account with the 'full features'.

It is possible to set up a "regular withdrawal" from IF.
Of course this could be a repeat BACS payment rather than a standing order, but it is certainly available on my savings account.
