In my town you can just walk in anywhere and get one done. Unless its a certain shop that are so good they are months booked in advance. Obviously they also use there judgement etc etc. I want a ladybird on my arm but alas I wanted to leave my job first so no tattoo for another year or so.

thought you were leaving your job in October PAP, can't you get one then to celebrate!

I've put in for a one-off special payment today (I got one last year, but there's nothing in the rules to say I can't have another this year)... also really helped that one of my bosses is on the panel ;)

I'm also putting in a claim for overtime. I'm just not certain if I want to claim the full 150 hours or just 115 hours and take an extra week's holiday. Overtime is paid at time and a half, whereas time off in lieu is at normal time 1 hour = 1 hour. the overtime would make a HUGE different to our debt and make 39 weeks of maternity leave more affordable.

    Congrats MinniMe!

I'm going along to my sister's redundancy hearing to support her next month, she's going through a bit of a carp time of it!

Hey all... left work just after my last post, about 1615... poor ernie is very nae weel as they say in these parts... she's sooo peaceful, sleepy an compliant when she is poorly... even when she pukes she doesn't moan much, no tears, just wants to be left alone...

so after changing her pj's, holding her hair while she was sick again, helping her rinse her mouth but not drink anymore, plumping her pillows, rubbing her cheek for a few secs she's asleep again..... easy peasy....

    Domestic matters :
Have just been out the back cleaning puke off the jute runner from the hall...... laid it on the picnic table out the back, completely saturated it, carpet shampoo'd it, and now rinsed it off with the power washer...! euch! you shoulda seen the mucky water come pouring outta it!!!

Not sure if soap n water are good for jute/hessian runners but figured it was going in the bin otherwise as very spewed upon, so just went for it!!!!

hope the sun stays out for a while to give it half a chance to dry.......

well done on the payrise minime - i trust the review went well otherwise?

BB - you are scaring me with this gun malarky!! you go girl!!!!

Linda - i was going to ask how was your sister doing? Did she enjoy the music fest the other day?
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....
