New Home, New Bills, Advice please?
Hi,
This could be a repeat of a previous question, but I've done a search and couldn't find anything so I'll ask again anyway!
I'm just moving into a new house. Previously the bills were not in my name and I had no say in provider etc. Now I want to sort out the best/cheapest ones to use, of course.
Most of the information on here is about getting the best deal when switching company, and the price comparison sites also seem to only cover switching. Am I just over-looking the information I want or do I need to look somewhere else?
Thanks for any help and advice,
Sx

is the property you are moving into rented? or are you buying?
Do you know who the current supplier is for electric? and gas (if there is gas)?
When you move in, you will need to register with the current suppliers anyway, as even if you change immediately, there will still be a bit of electricity/gas to pay for until you do switch.
Do you know what electricity region you live in?
You also need to confirm if the electricity is economy 7, or just one rate.
You could ask the current suppliers what the previous annual consumption figures are for each. They may be willing to give you this.
Alternatively if you give us an indication of what sort of property you are moving into, how many bedrooms, how many people, is there central heating, is this gas or electricity etc then others may be able to give you some ideasIndecision is the key to flexibility0
