Selling books - Opinions please!

  • I'm very interested too - have been toying with taking the plunge for a few weeks!

I'm a little confused about a couple of things - hope someone could clear it up for me!?

    1. I've read that when you work as an 'organiser' you are affectively self employed - do you have to fill out any self assessments etc?
    2. Does it work like Kleeneze where you have some example books and get your customers to order from a catalogue?
    3. I'm tempted to act on the current 'september' free intro offer - would I have to have made the £100 back before the end of september? (in which case i better pull my socks up!)

Thanks in advance if you can help *scratches head*

    Hi

1 - Yes you will be self employed and would need to complete your self assessment. You have 3 months to register as self employed which gives you time to see whether Usborne is right for you.
2 - Its not like Kleeneze but you will have catalaogues which will be in your starter kit that you can show to friends and family. If you do £100 in sales in your first 3 weeks you will achieve your flying start 1 and get a pack of books and leaflets worth £35 which you can then add to your kit.
3 - The current offer is fab. You need to put a date of your party which has to be held in September and I am sure you would achieve £100 of sales. I managed £190 of sales for my starter party 2 years ago.

Good luck if you decide to go for it
