If I've been turned down for one of these, what chance do I have of getting any other credit card?

get hold of your credit file on the 30 day free trial from either equifax or experian and take a look at it..

if there is anything on there that should not be there that may have affected your application to Capital One then maybe you can request a review of the application and appeal against their decision...

but there will have to be something on your file that you can prove should not be there e.g additional unnecessary foot printer by creditor or any errors made.

  • I was declined a Capital One card a few months back. I checked my credit file and all's tickatyboo, and I've subsequently been successful in two other applications - so I can only assume they could tell from my file that I'm a blatent stoozer and there was little chance of them making any money from me...
    am I missing something ??

Which card did you apply for? Was it a 0% card or was it a credit rebuilder card at 29.9% apr?

It was the card for people with credit problems.
  • I was turned down for Capital One and Barclaycard but was accepted no problem for Skycard (owned by Barclaycard) so it might be worth a go!
