EBICO question

Hi there,
Electric with Ecotricity (which I'm happy with, even if they're not the cheapest) and gas currently with British Gas. This is obviously a loser and so we're looking to switch. All the price comparison tables tell me different things but it seems as though EBICO would be the best option for me.
I am quite a newbie to this though and am struggling to follow who has yet to put their prices up and who hasn't. Can anyone tell me if EBICO have? Also, although we're faily low users (until now we've not even spent £200/year on gas - there's only 2 of us in a 2 bed flat) all the tables say we're looking at savings of over £100/year! Can this really be right? British Gas have just hoiked our prices from £17/mth (and in credit) to £22/mth (after a one-off £42 charge in Sept which is simply ridiculous) so I have run the comparison off the new £22/mth charge as I haven't a clue what our monthly/annual consumption is (naughty I know). Was this a mistake?
Finally, I'd appreciate any feedback re: positive/negative experiences with EBICO before I make the move if anyone can help...
Thanks for your help and apologies in advance for being so naive...

Hi Wendy,
I've been with Ebico for about 12 months and I can't recommend them highly enough.
I have prepayment meters and I've noticed a significant difference in the amount I spend each week. My gas (hob, hot water and central heating) I use about £3 per week averaged over a year. Electricity is about £10 per week - 2 bed, semi.
I used to put about £7 per week gas in and £20 per week electricity with NPower/BG, I've used them both.
Customer service is dealt with by Southern Electric and I have no complaints, any problems have been sorted out immediately.
I won't be leaving them in a hurry.I won't buy it if I can make or borrow it instead

You now pay less than 50% with Ebico than you used to with NPowerBG???
£3 a week average(£156 a year) on gas for cooking, central heating and Hot water???
Something is wrong!0 -

We're not on pre-payment meters but standard credit meters and had been paying £12 per month for gas and have on several times had refunds as we were in front by a tidy sum. It has however been put up to £15 although prices haven't risen again since, so expect another refund.
Gas for cooking heating etc. It's our electric that always comes out dearer, paying £30 per month, though previously had got into credit several times so had refunds. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -

Last price increase was 1st April0 -
Ok, so probably still to come then.
Thanks for your help though everyone. It's much appreciated and I think we'll make the switch.0 -
If you are currently with two different companies then, yes, it is easy to (at least) halve your gas costs by switching. Compare 7.2p per kWh to 2.86p per kWh!0

Cardew - I am careful with my energy consumption and I did say that the amounts were averaged out over a year.
I have a combi boiler for hot water which is very efficient and I don't use my central heating until the weather is extremely cold as my house is well insulated.
I really don't see what's wrong other than I don't pay a lot for my energy consumption simply because I don't use a lot.I won't buy it if I can make or borrow it instead
