imeasure - how are you doing.

i wondered of the few of us using the imeasure website, how you were doing?. for us as a household with 2 kids we used 35kwh of elec and 55kwh of gas this week.

i was happy with the elec but not sure yet about the gas as only using it to heat the hot water.

Ha! My children laugh at your 35kw in a week. They'd use that in a day if it wasn't for me shrieking at them. I am exaggerating, but not by much. I recorded 26units last winter. This summer, we've got as low as 10 a day but it's never going to be less than 80-90 a week unless I get really draconian.

Don't know how old your kids are but mine are 14-22 with a shopful of laptops, ipods, xbox, wii, playstation, gameboys, psps ... oh and there's the constantly-charging phones. Factor in washing machine and dishwasher for six ... at least no tumble drier yet.

We're averaging 70kw of gas, but, like you that's only hot water and cooking.

week one was Gas: 94kWh | Electricity: 118kWh but that's quite a way over the average for the same type of households it's comparing me too!

cheers i will take a look at that link. my kids are 1 and 4 so dont have their own gadgets yet although they are at home all day.

We (3 adults) used 42kw electric this week. Don't know how to work out the kwh of the gas, as it's in cubic metres and we used 3.

Lily,Your gas will be approx 33kw.

My usage is 63kw electric, and gas very similar to Matty (who was unsure) at 59kw, this is for hot water on for 1 hr a day and a gas hob.
