Help with Pressing Flowers?

Can anyone tell me how to 'press' a flower, without a kit please?
My son got married yesterday and I would like to press his buttonhole and one from brides bouquet (both Roses), as keepsakes.
I know you can buy flower presses, but as I didn't and they are already showing signs of wilting.......................... does anyone out there know what I can do with them today to keep them for mementos?

Might be worth looking on the Old Style board, it's the kind of thing they do over there ...
I know roses aren't particularly easy because they aren't flat! I think you have to sort of pad them. And have you googled?Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I'm an old softy so when OH gave me a rose i wrapped it in several layers of kitchen roll and placed it between several very heavy textbooks - 1 year later and it's flat and dry!! Don't know if that's how you're sopposed to do it but it still looks very nice

I did this when my grandparents died with some of the funeral flowers, i did same as elise and left them for a few months, I then glued them together to look like an bouquet on some nice coloured card and made them into a 3d picture, looks lovely and also good sentimental value and can remember all the memorys striaght away.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0
