May I make three points though
1. It should be a genuine gift, the gift giver should sort the postage, then there'll be no argument over "i sent postage and didnt get"
2. Please be very careful about what personal details you give someone, you do that at your own risk
3. The site takes no responsibility for transfers
4. This rule anomoly only applies in this circumstance
5. The books shouldn't then find themselves on eBay after being gifted
6. This shouldn't be pushed elsewhere on the site or in public
Now being the pedant i am, how many points did you originally say Martin

I've just seen this. It is a grey area, but i understand why - its a lovely idea. I'm happy for people to give their old copies of the Money Diet to users of this board......

Kind & thoughtful to make such an offer but the new book is not really expensive and gives a little back to the author, who started this site, especially helping to place it in "The Bestseller List"Guest.0

true but £4 is better spent on debt than on a book and i am very very very much appreciative of the old version.

Its a fair point. I have bought the new version and so wanted to help someone else by letting them have the old version. Martins book will still be a bestseller, don't worryLooking to raise some money0 -
