Freeware PHP Bulletin Board

Hi,

I have known about this free software for ages. It is called PunBB and it is a freeware bulletin board written in PHP. It's useful when you don't want to spend ££££'s on a bulletin board because it is free! However, it requires you to have database software. It currently supports MySQL, PostgreSQL and SQLite.

This software is very fast and simple to use. However, it doesn't have as many customisable settings as commercial Bulletin Boards such as vBulletin. However, I think it is useful for just messing around with or for a private personal site. It doesn't have features such as Private messaging either, but there is a modification which you can use to add this feature (just be careful during updates!) Private Messaging modification
