I am looking for an old wooden lab stool to put in my kitchen. I know I can buy them new but I wondered if anyone knows of somewhere old school furniture is sold that I could try?

There are lots of e commerce stores that sell a range of wooden furniture and I am sure with a specific Google query you could have a few options.
Try http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=buy+school+furniture%2C+wooden&btnG=Search&meta=
Have you tried somewhere like http://www.woodetccorp.com/?0 -
I want an old wooden lab stool for my kitchen. I know there are Educational suppliers where I can buy a new one but I would prefer a used one. Anyone know of a company that sells off old school furniture?0

Try contacting local schools?
Ours sends out a letter now & again with chairs or desks etc for sale that are being replaced. They only ask for a nominal amount but prefer them to go somewhere useful than to just chuck them in a skip.
We got a couple of lab stools 2 years ago which we use in DH's workshop in the shed.
I'm sure that a lot of schools have stuff like that in storage and would be happy to let you have it for a small donation.
Worth a try?0
