Come on people, I don't need a free site to give a star a name. If I want to give a star a name, then I do it. The only benefit of a site is if everyone then uses the names. But I won't, because I already have my own names for them.
After the uprising of the 17th June The Secretary of the Writers Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier In that case for the government
    To dissolve the people
    And elect another?

Kyssyn hi - you gave very sound advice - thanks - which Plushroom acknowledged and I would also echo Jacks words - a bit of fun for those who want it.

I did it for my newborn nephew and my partners birthday - I know there isn't anything 'official' about it but I couldn't resist it, being a sentimental old softie who will enjoy handing over the certificate - it makes you feel as if you have done something nice for someone even if we all know its not official.

Also children find it both exciting and comforting - sorry of this sounds corny but when it was done for me and my nieces/nephews woke up in the night, couldn't sleep or had nightmares they would look out of the window and feel o.k. (does anyone rememeber the Waltons?) - it wasn't because us grownups were telling them that, they just all did it and thought it so it was worth it even for that - I might add they are older and wiser now but it was nice for them at the time.
  • Did one for me and OH and one for stepdaughters new baby 10.gif

Really great - thanks. I have a birthday and a recently born in the family so have done it for both - it doesn't matter about the free banner showing as most people think that the ones you have to pay large amounts of money for are a con anyway - the lovely thing is having the star named after someone. Someone did one for me once and the sentiment was lovely but they did pay through the nose for it so thanks again.

Has everyone looking at this seen the post (sorry - can't remember posters name) for birthday, anniversory scrolls? - you may want to both for a special occassion - I just have! - thanks.

Hi again - Its Scenesixty poll birthdy/anniversory/whatever

These two posts really compliment each other for birthdays etc.
where is the post for the birthday scrolls please
  • :AGreat idea.
I've just done one for my soon to be born grandaughter - bless!
  • thanks for this idea, i got one for my OH as i didn't get him anything for our anniversary.

Also ifu don't want to mess with the banner it's only $3.00 to change it.
    nothing ventured, nothing gained!;)
