I'm loking to buy both daughters a DS lite for christmas, there are that many games out there that they want but i've also heard about these memory cards which can hold up to about 100 games on one card. Thing is there's that many different named ones i dont know which is which or which is suitable/better/compatable etc.
so far i've heard of M3 real, TT, R4 and my mind is boggling!!!
any advice would be great

I know exactly what you are talking about but I don't know if we are allowed to discuss it here so I'm being a little hesitant. The items in question are not illegal. However they can be used illegally. And Nintendo are not happy bunnies about it.I'm loking to buy both daughters a DS lite for christmas, there are that many games out there that they want but i've also heard about these memory cards which can hold up to about 100 games on one card. If you want to back up games you have already purchased for ease of use onto one card then that IS legal and I would say there is not much between an R4 DS and an M3 Simply, it used to be that the firmware on them was actually interchangable..
And I think the TT is the newer R4 DS, I have heard mixed reviews about it. The best place to check out is the gba forums they have their own wiki which explains these products and reviews the various types.
The wiki is here.

Sorry I can't be more help but these cards are very controversial and I don't wish to cause a problem for the forum.
P.S they can also be used to play homebrew games which are simply free games designed by amateur game developers to play on the DS*Make every day Caturday*0 -
You can buy M3 Real on Amazon. It is an emulator (it looks and sits in place like a games cartridge). You need a micro SD card to sit inside, 2gb will hold about 40 games, depending on size of game.
As has been said. The M3 and others are NOT unlawful (illegal - is a sick bird!). What you do with the M3 could break copyright laws, but is civil not criminal.
You are best either googling ROMS or using UTube to find out more.
Good luck.0 -
thanks for that peeps, mind still a bit boggled !!0

The DSTT is good, does what it says on the tin and it's cheap too (try dealextreme).
A 1gig card that holds about 20-30 games depending on size, but you can swap the games when they're completed or the kids get bored.Sigless0 -

Not too sure about the others, but I own an R4 card with a 2gb Micro SD card (used purely for backing up movies and music, for my DS).
YOu can get these imported into the country from
www.gadget-asia.com
I think they work out at about £45 for both cards.
You will need to then go onto the revolution website and download the latest Moonshell software onto it. then hey presto. it will work in the DS.
If you need any more info, PM me.
