in Credit cards
Hi
Im looking to get a credit card but i only want a limit of £600/700 no more, I have just got finance on a car of £6000 so i know this would put alot of lenders plus i have an existing loan thats nearly paid off.
Does anybody know of any company that does this and the best way to apply. I dont have a credit card and i know that if i have any more i will just spend it all. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
L

even if you manage to get a limit more than 600 or 700 you can have your limit reduced

Just to get a present (nintendo Wii and wii fit) and incase of emergencys. Im guessing it must be ok if i got accepted for credit from barclaycard for a new car, but i did have a few missed payments from last year for my old loan due to being made unemployed and not being covered by the insurance which thanks to this site i am in the process of claiming back but i still have'nt heard anything as a responce hence why i want a credit card and if i am successful i can pay back with the money although i would pay off in full when i use it. Do you think i should apply if i just got the credit for my car in August? The present is needed for the start of October and im guessing it can be quite a long process as i wouldn need to wait on the card getting sent out and a pin number. Is there any good deals just now. It would be mostly used for buying things like petrol or presents.

instead of getting a credit card for presents, i'd start saving now. it's always better to save then spend rather then spend then pay back later.0

Not necessarily...... if you're buying from zavvi you can get 10% off with a virgin card, and as long as you pay it off within the 0% for purchases period (or within the month) you'll not have been charged interest. Also, you can earn cashback too on some credit cards. Or if your buying with credit cards online it's more secure......instead of getting a credit card for presents, i'd start saving now. it's always better to save then spend rather then spend then pay back later.
