Please help - Scottish Power no longer progressing my fix application!
I switched to Scottish Powers fixed dual fuel rate 6 weeks or so ago, while prices were still reasonable. I got a one year fix and was happy with this, got a few emails confirming my application and a letter too. I was asked to enter my elec meter reading last week, which I have done. I got an email saying my supply would be starting this week and assumed all was well.
HOWEVER today I received an email from Scottish Power which said :
'Please note that your application for the supply of mains gas from ScottishPower is no longer being progessed. Your supply will therefore remain with your current supplier'.
What??!!
I have not phoned them yet but wanted to know if anyone else had got this, or any advice on what I should say if they dig their heels in.
I dont want just my electricity with SP - its the gas thats rising in price! Also I wanted the dual fuel and if I stick with gas from my current supplier (Eon) that will be even more expensive than before because I am no longer dual fuel with them?!
I am getting really worried about my gas prices now as I thought I had got a fix just in time and now they have taken it away from me. I have a small baby and really cant be doing with the hassle.

I switched to Scottish power on a fixed rate and owed Atlantic quite a sum,as they had been underestimating my gas direct debit, but all Atlantic did was work out what i owed from the final reading and told me in advance what they would be taking from my bank account on a certain date.Problem solved.Maybe Eon are different?
I cannot for the life of me think what has happened for them to accept the electric but not the gas,and i would be MAD too!!0 -
i think its time to call them and see whats going on ,good luck and im sure someone on the forum will have advice on what to say to them if they are being difficult ,hopefully eon have mistakenly blocked the transfer and a quick call is all thats needed0

Yes me too. I just phoned up and they said my application is going through as planned but am a bit worried.0 -
Do you have an E10 meter setup or a rather unusual product with Eon?0

I'm on e-on standard online dual fuel tariff, no unusual meters or circumstances! Funnily enough after posting today the postman arrived - got one letter from e-on and one from SP. The SP letter is confirming my direct debit details. The e-on letter is another 'begging' letter 'Were sorry youre leaving, Please come back to us'!!! :rotfl:
I am digging out all the correspondance tonight before I phone them, going to see if theres any small print. The more I think about it the madder I get... :mad:0 -
I'm transferring from NPower and gave my online meter readings yesterday - will wait and see.0
