Hi all,
Hoping you can help!
My sister currently owns a shared ownership (1 bedroom) of which she owns(pays a mortgage) 60% and pays rent on the remaining 40%. There is a new development down the road from her which has 2 bed shared ownership flats available. My parents are getting on and she would like to apply to get one of these so that eventually my parents can come and live with her. The question that I have is as she already has a shared ownership flat- can she apply for a new one? and also, the new developement, although on the next road is actually in the next borough. Do you think it is likely in the current housing situation that she will be accepted as people are waiting to see where the market goes or should she not bother?
Thanks!!
