I have noticed that my partner is paying ppi on her credit card and when i asked her about it she said that when she tried to cancel it over the phone they told her that she couldnt. are there any letters templates on here that we can use to stop her paying this and also maybe reclaiming some of it? She is also paying ppi on her car, can she do the same with this aswell?
Thanks for any advice.

I had same problem with Virgin MBNA card but wrote to HQ and they have replied to say as a gesture of goodwill they have cancelled it, even though I never received any notice that their rules had changed!
However they would not refund any monies paid as they say the onus was on me to check details!0 -
You don't mention the card company involved, but a phonecall to customer services is normally all that's required to cancel payment protection insurance on a credit card
For advice on reclaiming, see Martin's PPI Reclaiming Guide

Sorry the credit card company is mbna, I will get the misses to ring them up tonight to try and get it cancelled as she is paying £15 a month for nothing, what a load of rubbish0

I'd certainly tackle this first and save some money at a stroke.
Btw, you can contact Virgin Card Services on 01244 673700 to avoid the dreaded 0870 numbers
Very best
