If my lodger goes bankrupt or gets an IVA will it affect me?

Hi
Didn't debts always get linked to addresses? So basically wondering if my lodger IVAs or goes bankrupt will it affect me if I try and get credit in the future?
Thanks

Nope. Not unless he has a financial association with you, this does not include paying you rent.

No. Credit scoring used to be on address, nowadays though it's on the individual, by name.

It won't affect your credit score at all. The only way it might affect you is if bailiffs start turning up on your doorstep looking for him/her!

We have a similar concern. We have moved into a house which has since been visited by baliffs looking for previous owners. They left when we said we do not know where they are. However, our mortgage deal is ending soon and we are concerned that this address will give us adverse credit ratings when applying for a remortgage.
