Age is age. It ain't rocket science. What is the problem with putting the accurate age?
I have had proof of age required when we have stayed in a hotel which had free child meals under 12.0 -
I would be worried in case it invalidated the insurance, even if you have the insurance seperately.
I would be worried about it being the one time they do check! Imagine being told you couldn't get on the flight or turned away from the hotel because the details are incorrect.
Or what if your child needed medical care and they couldn't give him/her the right dosage because they had a different age down.If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in

I wouldn't put anything but their right ages. It could cause problems, it might not of course but I wouldn't take the risk.
You may get away with it, but it also may come back to bite you if you don't.
My son needed medical attention this year and the doctor saw our booking details, insurance, EHIC and his passport, consequently he recorded it all for us to claim so an age difference would have been picked up.
They grow up and unfortunately we have to pay the extra. There are ways of getting things cheaper legitimately by booking in different ways. For example don't book half board but self catering and buy meals from Hotel when there. (I know that's not relevant here but a good MSE tip)0 -

I am sure they were asking if it was ok to put a false age for a child when booking a hotel as to get it cheaper.Give me a f***ing break.
The OP clearly did not like the answers he got, so decided to be rude.
What was the original question?"Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."0 -

Yes that's what it was.
They're likely to get more attention by changing it though because everyone will wonder what gmafb is!If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in

I am sure that is what he wanted to know, but he actually asked if anyone checked childs ages so did it matter what age he put.0
