Dubai..or Goa.. or Egypt in kids xmas hols!!!

Hi travelman,,

Can you (or anyone else) help... i need sum sun, sand 'n' sea!!! wid da kids ofcourse??? only one prob. can only go during kids xmas hols!!! which is the time to rip off all parents.... can you beat them at their own game??
Holiday for 2ads + 2chd.
1. fly from Manchester, - 2. duration- 7 nights, - 3. dates- between 21st Dec. - 2nd Jan.06, - 4. p.m flights o.k...- 5. A.I. pref. or h/b, or b/b.. in 5* or 4* beach hotel.- 6. resort type- something with activities or watersports or kidsclub for 2 girls aged 6 & 9, and hubby aged 40!!!

Certainly I can beat the Tour Operators in terms of price but Xmas/New Year ain't cheap! If you can give me a rough max. budget for all of you, say for all-inclusive for all 4 pax will do my best for you.

Forget Goa/Dubai-prices will be sky high. Egypt is a better bet. Would you look at the Canaries?

I'm here Sunday until 10-30 am then back on at 4pm (obligatory Sunday walk with other 1/2 & Sunday lunch!).

Goa is a long way to go for a week and for what you want you would have to stay at one of the upmarket resorts, otherwise you might be disappointed. I loved Goa, but I don't think I would have taken my kids when they were little.
I don't know about Dubai, I've never been.
As Travelman recommended, you're probably better off going where you know that the hotel/resort caters to the family market and provides the facilities such as kids club, that will allow you to relax.

Thanx,, - shame about Goa/Dubai, wishful thinkin i suppose, but Egypt - Sharm el Sheik is good... maximum budget would be £1200!!!! aaahhh!!! but the cheaper the better.... would also consider Morrocco.... but don't know anyone whose been there!!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but 100% absolutley NO chance at that budget for these dates for Egypt. Flights on their own are £1500!

Cheapest price (strangely!) is Glasgow Airport on 22/12 for Sharm-can get you 3*+ a/inclusive for £1490. If you are prepared for a drive up to Glasgow this is certainly cheap for a/i!
