Where are you going to in Brazil? Salavador? Rio? Amazon?
    Also how many people?

    Try this airline:
    http://www.aireuropa.com/en/default.html

They usually have cheaper fares, but they fly from Madrid to Salvador, you would have to get internal flights for the Salvador to Rio bit, plus the London to Madrid flight as well.

If you want to fly directly to Rio you should probably go for TAP airlines which tend to be the cheapest, although you will have a stop over in either Lisbon or Porto depending on which flight you choose.

Also if you decide to go in March the weather will be superb and less hot (in the 30's instead of the 40's) which is a bonus, plus from what I could see the flights would be about half the price. Around £1k including taxes for 2 people with aireuropa, or around £1,5k with TAP (Quoted €1800 (EUROS) for 2 people in march on the Edreams website http://www.edreams.com/edreams/english/)

Another thing, if you want get more of a feel for the place, and also save money, I would recommend you stay at an apartment (apart-hotel) rather than a hotel which tend to be VERY expensive.
