Er a new hard drive, you are joking right....

And MSAntispyware is beating Adaware in tests....

NIS is er well Ok but its a resource hogger and just really
not worth the money, especially up against Nod32..

:rotfl: Dont take offence but if your running out of room on your hdd, using antivirus and firewalls its about time you upgarded.. And please dont misquote me i never said ms antispyware was beating adaware, and as for NIS, its down to user preference if you dont have a pc that cant take it DONT use it!!

And as for not worth the money £18.00 aint gonna break the bank compared to the hassle of problems, or getting some one else to do it!!

1, Running out of space on a HDD, remove unwanted old programs and NIS as that just takes up space for no apparent reason.

2, A PC that cant take NIS well if it cant get rid of NIS as its sh*te

3, Spend £18.00 for no reason as NIS is sh*te

Back to the point.. its down to user preference, use NIS or NOD32, let everyone else decide!!

I agree its down to user preference, but no point in chucking money away.
  • My preferred programs are:
    Firewall: ZoneAlarm
    Antivirus: AVG
    Adware search: Lavasoft AdAware
I haven't needed any more than these three and they're all free

zone alarm and avg had a conflict between them, have they sorted that problem out now?

Yeah theyve sorted that one out now, but I gotta say sygate for me..
  • I switched to Sygate when ZoneAlarm killed (BSOD if you're techie) my early version XP laptop, and have never looked back. It - for me - is the simplest to use, a real 'fire and forget' solution.
