Having just bought an ipod shuffle, I now know how to transfer cd's to laptop>ipod. I've googled and found sites that allow tunes to be played and presumably lifted for your own use. How would I lift a tune so that I could move it to itunes and then my ipod?
This is the one I would like:-

You need to register with them and download their software.*Make every day Caturday*0

That site failed to co-operate. Having googled, I've found lots of sites, but all require some sort of cash payment, nothing for free. So I'm still looking. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

You can download free music from we7.com - might be worth a look to see if they have the song you want.0

OK thanks, have joined and downloaded two songs. Initially I thought it said I could not transfer the songs without payment, but on looking at my playlist, I think they are free. So, how do I now get them across to itunes? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Open Itunes and use the FILE option. ADD FILES TO LIBRARY - use this to navigate to the location of the file you wish to import. When it is selected, click OPEN. The file will then be added into your Itunes.
Alternatively use the FILE, IMPORT in the same way.0 -
Most commercial sites will charge for music.
Provided you've downloaded in a format such as MP3, you can import it into iTunes (File > import or Add to library), and then it can be sync'd to your iPod.0 -
The two songs are in the playlist on WE7.com so by going to File on itunes and then ADD FILES TO LIBRARY how do I pick them up?This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

You need to download them onto your computer before you put them in iTunes.
You can't add them from a we7.com playlist.
By the way, the track you wanted in your first post is only 79p on iTunes. It's pretty hard to get free commercial tracks legally for obvious reasons.0 -
With we7.com, you can play a tune online (in which case you can't easily/legally rip it to an iPod), or you can download it - either free with a short (~10s) advert at the beginning, or by paying a small fee.
I don't think you can download every track they have - it depends on the licensing agreement.0 -

In particular the track in the OP is not available for download from we7."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
