mortgage for 135 K
House valued at 138 K - by the Surveyor who did the valuation for the Mortgage lender

Lots and lots of people who believe the estate agents inflated valuations...Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
When the market is rising, or at a high level down valuations (which is what has happened to you ) rarely happen. BUT when the market is dropping they become more common. Itis worth asking the selling EA if they can talk to the valuer and offer comparable evidence to support the higher figure. Although, in my experience, it can be amost impossible to get a valuer to change their mind after the event - but it can be done.A retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build.
