    Basically, if the surveyor doesn't mention something and it is a problem, you can sue. So they suggest you do EVERYTHING just to cover their backs. And it's a suggestion, not compulsary. It's probably a sentence they copy and paste into every single survey that they write, unless it's obvious that there is a huge issue in which case it would be a recommendation that needs to be done before exchange.

    With both children I used to have nightmares about having to buy all the things for the baby because I'd forgotten to buy anything before! I'd be running around mothercare with a naked baby :o I appreciate your story involves less disorganisation than my dreams, but I know exactly how you must feel!
