help looking for a santanta deal please?

no idea where to start with this
my dad (whi is 82) has become very disalusioned (sp?) with his sky tv. apparently more and more of the football games he wants to watch have gone over to santana. this is 99% of his sky viewing and he has asked me to find out how he can get santanta at a reasonable price. He is not in a virgin cable area. I know nothing about this at all can someone help please?

Have just found this deal, which says it ends tonight at midnight!! Think I might use this as I have just realised that all the England matches coming up over the next week or so are exclusive to Setanta!!

carriew..........go toComet or Tesco and, if you want, you can buy a freeview recorder by Thomsons for about £80 that includes FREE Setanta until May 2009 (you will save over £100 in subscription costs). You still have to pay the £20 connection fee. Be warned, Setanta are not an easy company to 'escape' from, but as long as you cancel your DD in advance you should be ok. Also, do some research on the Thomsons box before buying.

You stated that your dad had a satellite system,i.e Sky.
Why then are you looking at terrestrial Freeview boxes?
There is only one Setanta channel available on Freeview, 10 on satellite.
All he has to do is subscribe to Setanta on his existing Sky satellite system, then if he wishes cancel the Sky sports subscription.
There is no need to buy any hardware.
