Using LIME!

Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0

I have clay soil, but am using 4 raised beds and rotating them, so would I need to lime this first time round, or can I wait a year or two to lime the bed brassicas would be going into? I mean, the compost etc. in the raised bed presumably won't be acidic yet, will it? Or should I lime the bed brassicas will go into next spring? (Bit tricky as it has late carrots in it at the moment....)0

Just add some lime before the brassicas go in; mix it in and plant.0

Is it ok to do that? When I read about lime it said to leave several months between liming the bed and planting anything in it?0
