travel insurance

hi, first message posted on here so il do my best to keep it simple andnot cunfuse anyone, basically i have a holiday booked to leave on 23rd september for 17 days to orlando, now i booked flights and hotel seperately and i have my insurance through swift cover. anyways my mum has been fighting cancer for the last 30 months and just over the last week we have a dramatic decline in her health, shes now bedridden unable to care for herself,so my question finally is although we knew she had cancer before we booked holiday and insurance, will we be covered if the diagnosis is now classed as terminal, just dont know what to do and my head is all over place ,dont want to go on holiday ,but dont want to tell kids were not going and losing all the money, i also have theme park tickets and i dont know if i can get refund on them at all, any ideas? please

If you declared the illness as pre-existing when taking out the insurance then you will be covered.

If you didn't then it's a bit of a lottery - probably not, I'd say, but it depends on the exact T&C that swift cover offer.

The only way to find out is to ask them.
