Capitol one application

Hi,just completed an online application for a Capital one card.They normally give you an instant decision but in my case they said they would write to me for more information/clarification.Does anyone have any experience of this? I had a Capitol one card previously about three years ago which went with no problems.
I canceled my Halifax one card last week. Would that have any effect on the application?
Any thoughts folks?

I had the same thing for the last Capital One card I had.

I still got the card, though they wrote to me to confirm the application.

Cancelling the Halifax card won't have had any adverse effect on your application.

I applied for the capital 1 card with the 0% for 15 months. I have excellent credit and fit the critieria they want. They said they would write to me too and they declined me. Never been declined in my life !
