Am I entitled to any benefits?

I doubt i am, but i dont want to miss out on any if i am!

I'm 18 an just left college and in a part time job working no more than 12-19 hours a week, minimum wage. I live at home with my dad, so i dont have many outgoings apart from paying for my car. So i was just thinking if its possible to receive any benefits at all? Or is that being greedy ;)

Thank you :D

Being 30 and having worked the last 15 years of my life (mostly full time and for a number of years fulltime with a part-time job on top) I have just been made redundant. I am entitled to very little benefits. So personally I don't see why you should be entitled to any benefits - why don't you find a full time job?
But knowing our crap system you will probably be entitled to anything and everything.
    Rant over.

The answer of course is NO,the solution is work more hours,or failing that sell the car
  • Or is that being greedy

Very. Either that and/or lazy.
    Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries

    no sweetheart ,
its time now for you to get off that little botty of yours , let go of daddys hand and be a big brave boy and earn your keep , and appreciate how lucky you are to have had extra training at college to help get that full time job you should have .........it might not be the perfect job but its good for your piggy bank each month ..... good luck
:EasterBun GRAB EVERY OPPERTUNITY YOU GET ..YOU DONT KNOW HOW LONG YOUR HERE FOR
  • Why not go back to college and do an access course or similar - your dad will get child tax credits and child benefit and you may get EMA.
Another alternative is an apprenticeship, it may only be £80 a week but you will get a good job at the end of it.
My 18 year old daughter manages to go to college and work part time, earning £400 a month and she contributes to the running of the car she shares with me, and she saves £100.
