Sonic update manager. trying to install

Please can you help! I have a programme called sonic update manager. UM.MSI trying to install on my computer every time i turn on. I don't know where it came from or what it does, but it say insert the cd update manager to continue, i just want to delete it. i am unable to turn of the computer as this programme is there all the time.
I need advice that is not to complicated, Thankyou people!

Download and Run the Sonic Isum_hotfix.exe File

1. Open a Web browser such as Windows® Internet Explorer®, and then click the following link: http://tools.roxio.com/support/dell/isum_hotfix.exe
2. In the File Download - Security Warning window, click Run.
3. In the Internet Explorer - Security Warning window, click Run.
4. In the Sonic - ISUM Hotfix Setup window, click Yes to install the hotfix.
5. When prompted to restart the computer, click Yes.

thanks very much for your help loaner, gaming_guy & browntoa i'll try and sort it out tomorrow. because i care for someone who is sick and have to help get him to bed. this site is marvelous and your all great and clever

I've managed to get back to my computer, and with the advice i got my sonic manager problem has dissapeared. thankyou!
