Froddington – glad you had a better day – it gives you a more positive outlook when things go better dontcha think?

Sarahshattered – Sorry you had a rotten hotel. No doubt living in a 5 star house a 4 star hotel looks like a slum

    Welcome newbies – returners

Good news on the move MrsV (thought you were still in transit:rotfl:

Carol22 – My ONLY moving tip - don’t wrap crockery etc in newspaper – you’ll have to wash it when you arrive! Find kitchen roll/large napkins/ wipers and wrap in them – then you have clean usable crocks!

And to everyone else - happy September

To all school staff/teachers (GET IT DONE NOW - this is your last chance)

Well this is how things are looking this Monday morning.
I let DS have a longer lie as he was later to bed last night (due to a later dinner for us) and so I went loopy in the kitchen while he slept! Am loving this getting something done in the morning before the day really gets going!
I have removed the 'Craft Stuff inventory' from my own list as realised it would be too hard practically to do without taking photos of the stuff (try describing papers, stickers etc accurately and remembering what on earth you actually meant! ) and also added another one.
Ok, hope you are all getting on well with what you need to do and hope I am not boring you too much with my posts.
If I post again today I will just write whats left from the monday mop and my own list although its quite satisfying now to see all the score lines through stuff :).
I'll say it again THIS THREAD IS GREAT :)

Tried a couple of times in the past to FLY but with 3 kids always seem to get side tracked lol. Gonna get FLYing this week.

Really need to get back on track especially as eldest 2 are back at school on wednesday.

Had a tidy round yesterday and wiped kitchen surfaces so level one done already, aiming for l2 but may do more.
DD1 left the freezer door open yesterday, luckily most of the stuff was in the chest freezer not this one, but had to throw some icecream and a frozen curry. Refroze the bread and pastry. But need to cook up the sausages and chicken breast that defrosted.

Had a good OS weekend with a cheap Organic chicken roasted on sat (£1.99 reduced :j ), then boiled up carcass for stock in NEW slow cooker (given to me by aunty who had only used it 5 times and stuck it in garage so FREE hurrah never been off since it arrived last week :rotfl: ). Made risotto yesterday with leftover chicken and half the stock, gonna use the rest with the defrosted chicken.

    Own tasks
aiming to do at least 1 load of washing/drying each day plus 50 items ironed per day to clear the ironing mountain up the corner.
double check all kids uniform/sort out sandwich boxes/sort games kits.
Cook up defrosted chicken for tea and sausages.

    Back again

Welcome to the newbies:) and the returners (Pink Fairy) :)

    Vanilla - how is Bo?

OK, kitchen. I've wiped all the cupboard fronts, worktops, windowsills, small and large appliances, cleaned inside fridge (shopping coming tomorrow), cleaned the oven (!), cleaned the inside of the cupboard where the rubbish bin is kept. Cleaned the cat snot off the window (daily job). Wiped the table cloth.

Then, damp wiped living room and vacuumed right through downstairs.

In the middle of that lot I cut the grass back and front, edged it and swept up. Also cut back some monbretia that has finished flowering and was lying over the path.

Moved the recycling bins up nearer the back gate ready to put out tonight when I get in from work (in case it's pouring with rain and I don't want to hang about).

Half the washing is dry and folded, if it stays dry for another hour I reckon the rest will be dry but it's starting to cloud up now.

    Coffee time :)
  • Hi All - I'm Back!!!!! It's been so long that you have probably forgotten who I am!
I have been very slack since my kitchen was finally finsihed at the beginning of July!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is gorgeous. I will post a photo later (I'm at work!)
I am now back on track. As it's been the hols and I still work, any days off have been spent doing things the girls want to do. DH been offshore for 5 of the 6 weeks hols so that was a bit of a b*mmer!
I woke up this morning in such a positive mood that I decided enough was enough I was going to stop being lazy, stop eating, start cooking properly again, cleaning properly and sort my life out! I have just been sooo tired and realised it is probably because I am such a pig!!! lol
Anyway, enough of the waffles (oh food) I will do at least level 1 and half of level 2 each day, and it's a good start for me as it's my favourite room - MY NEW KITCHEN!!!! (which if I am honest is normally fairly spotless)

    Taffy's Monday

    Level 1 Kitchen
    ½ Level 2 Kitchen
    Ironing
Sort out school stuff (most hanging up just need naming)
    Cook Tea
    Bake biscuits/cake

This will be enough for today. When I get home I intend to type myself up a list for the week so that I know where I am.

Hello to everyone who was here before and hello to the newbies from when I was last here.

Pink Fairy - I notice that you have fish, are they tropical? My DD1 has a tank and on sat bought 2 new fish, 1 of which was a pregnant molly (put in seperate tank and we now have about 40 babies). I have bought baby fish food but I was wondering if you know how long I keep them in the seperate tank? When do I put 'tip them out' into the big tank? Thanks
Have a good day everyone and good luck for tomorrow for all the littlies who are back at school - hurray!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's very quiet on here today. Not many lights on.
