well you will be on the older pension scheme so can claim it when your 55 however i can't help you with how much you will get
now i believe (because you was on the older pension) you only got a pension from 12 years (i may be wrong) so would qualify for half pension for sure
how much that is, will depends on when you got out etc and what rank you was etc etcIf you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly
I've only ever been wrong once! and that was when I thought I was wrong but I was right0 -

Preserved pensions are paid at 60 on AFPS 75 and at age 65 for AFPS 05.
Information on claiming is here:

Hi,
Yes, agree it is aged 60 under AFPS 75 and 65 under AFPS 05. I was looking at my discharge letters yesterday about this very thing (I served 12 years and 3 days).
The only time a preserved pension and gratuity can be paid early is in the case of being permanently unable to work due to disability (under AFPS75).
If you have still got your discharge letters it should tell you how much your preserved pension and gratuity is worth (at the time of leaving). You will then need to add the RPI increases since you left.

I put a post up about this a little while ago with the relevant contact details.
It may be easier to give then a quick ring than trawling through the publications
