Yeah some wedge boots have them - was looking at a pair with my mum - which is when she issued the warning!!!! And, I've come to learn after 35 or so years, mums really do know best.

Anything with a 'tyre like' sole should keep you pretty safe. You can pick up walking boots for £30 in places like Winfields . I got some and wear them for riding and walking, I've always felt safe on ice
