I have applied and been accepted for the Amex Platinum card which I intend to use for a balance transfer, but I wonder if I have done wrong by telling them that I WILL be using it for a balance transfer and giving the details of said transfer.???????????????????
Should I have waited until I was accepted for the card and then transfered?

Provided they offered what you wanted (i.e. a LoB transfer) during the application it should not make any difference.0

It does say in the conditions that any transfer made in the first 6 months is subject to LOB, and I assume that the transfer is being put onto the new card and not the other way around. No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30

Can you explain what you mean? What you have written is not clear. If you apply for a card and it has a balance transfer rate it will ask you for the card number of the card which already has a balance in on. You also specify the amount of the balance outstanding on the existing card that you would like to transfer to the new card, in your case Amex. So the balance now appears on the Amex card at the rate Amex charge.0 -
What you have written is what did happen when I applied, but I was wondering if they thought I was asking to borrow money to put onto another card. Just checking. Or being thick. Ta.No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30
