Options
Hi does anyone know when B+Q will be holding their next 15% off everything in store day. I want to buy a bathroom suite but am holding out till they announce a 15% off day.

  • They have a 40% off some bathroom suites and also off kitchen stuff at the mo, plus 0% IFC too.

As for the 15% off, I work there and haven't heard anything yet, but staff usually only get told a few days before at the most.

If I hear anything I'll post it! In the meantime, can't you grab a fogey and get 10% off on a Weds? :D

Damn, when I saw this post I thought there was going to be a 15% day! I have a huge list of stuff to buy (been adding to it since the last 15% off day).

My MIL is over 60, does she need to register or anything or do you just bring proof of age? And is it all day Wednesday?
  • A question for you, I just googled and found someone saying you can't use the OAP discount at Warehouses. My B&Q is a warehouse :( and my next local one is a 'mini warehouse' apparently. :( Do you know if this is true?
  • Nope, it's a load of cobblers - the 10% OAP card can be used in any form of B&Q store on a Wednesday. My store is the 3rd largest warehouse one in the country (allegedly!) and we allow it.

They never used to allow it in warehouses because SOME of the prices were cheaper, but that was some time ago. :)
  • Oh, I forgot to add, your MIL just needs proof that she is over 60-a Pension book, D/L, Passport etc. Doesn't need a photo on and is issued as soon as she fills a very short form in. Forms are usually available at the tills, amongst other places in store.
  • Is it true that some products are excluded from the 10% discount?

Yes, lots of items, normally the ones you want! Off the top of my head I think bathrooms and bedrooms are excluded, probably kitchens too.
  • I THINK (oops - caps lock!) that it's any special order stuff, like made to measure kits/baths/bedrooms etc, but am not positive on that.

Good question rosiealice - forgot that bit! Am back in on Weds so if I ever get 5 mins to myself away from the ol' 'coffin dodgers' :D (no offence, that's just a term of endearment that we use for the crumblies!) then I'll check and report back on Thursday. :)
  • You beat me to it there wildmandy! :D

Oh and welcome to MSE rosiealice - you'll find that the majority of us on here will be very nice and helpful. :)
