Congratulations on getting through today  .

Your experience sounds a lot like mine. What court did you got to if you don't mind me asking?
  • Was bankruptcy actually recomended by the CCCS?

I have already spoke to them and it wasn't really talked about, although i mentioned it..
Does it matter that Bankruptcy isn't recommended, will my petition be more likely to get dismissed if not recommended??

Sorry for hi-jacking your thread, and congratulations on your bankruptcy.
  • Congratulations and goodluck with everything:beer:

  • Okay, so its one week later. I've had a very quick phone call from the OR's office where they checked some information and then told me I'd get a letter with a date and time of when the OR would want to interview me - 'if' he needed to interview me. So, I get the letter and its asking me to sign some forms and return them - which is pretty straightforward. However, I'm a little perplexed as the OR doesn't need to interview me at this time and has not requested any financial documentation. Is this the norm?

So, that kind of leaves me in a little bit of a limbo-land. What happens with my car? Do I tell the mortgage company I've gone br and they can go for repossession? I did consider vol repo but wasn't sure about the implications of doing so. But, if I leave it for the mortgage company to do and it takes as long as other posters experiences then in 6 months time I'm gonna have to start paying CT on that property because the mortgage company hasn't repossessed in time. Do I ring the OR and ask questions? Part of me wants to get my head stuck in the sand and hope for the best but been there done that and the result wasn't good!!

I also had my first conversation with a DCA and told them of my br. They were fine - asked my br date, br number, which court and then asked me to send them a copy of my stamped form, so will send it to them in due course but after I've blanked out my new address - will that be okay do you think?

In terms of my state of mind, I feel better now that I've had time for it to sink in but theres still a lot of unknowns to get through. I do feel a lot more positive and the light at the end of tunnel is getting nearer.:D

PS Should I have a copy of my br order? Or is that the same as the stamped petition given to me by the br clerk?

Yes your stamped copy of SOA is all you get.So send a copy of that front bit with the date, stamp ect.

There have been quite a few recently who have not needed an interview. Think due to the volume of bc they see you as a "simple case" and so at this point do not need interviewing. Don't be suprised or scared if at a later point they decide to check a few things with you.

As far as any questions are concerned either ring your OR and ask or ring the IS helpline and get those points clarified for your own peace of mind.

Sounds like you are doing ok ,well done.D
