Parental Control?

Anyway, my kids use the computer all the time and I have shortcuts on the desktop of sites they know that they are allowed to use. This has worked fine for a year but they are getting older now and have figured out how to input a website in the address bar!
So, how do I control them? It is something I have never had to do before!
I imagine SKY have their own system but the installation cd can not be used with our version of xp (;) )

Control the Web
Parents may have concerns about their children viewing inappropriate content on the internet. Windows SteadyState helps give parents the control they want over their children's web access. All websites can be prohibited except for those the parent specifies as acceptable.

Use the Feature Restrictions tab to set user-specific restrictions on features available in programs and components such as Microsoft Office and Windows Internet Explorer. You can also set the home page and specify which website addresses that the user account is allowed to viewEx forum ambassador

Simply talk to your children about the dangers of the internet and why it's important to use it safely for a few minutes.
Then there is no need to censor their access to the huge bank of information.0 -

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound evil. But things like misspellings are unlikely to result in unpleasant results.0 -
or crawler parental control works well too...use it on my kid's pc..you can pick what you want to limit, whilst giving them plenty of freedom.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
I've not used Steadystate but another vote here for K9 Web Protection which is also free and simple to set up0
