I'd agree with Pretani that wood laminate might not be the best finish to go with oak shaker doors ... but I wouldn't choose plain white either - shows too many marks.
If you really want timber effect I'd go for something like Mocha Oak from Axiom ... in their Universal range ... or Ebony Block in their Finewood range (if you're more adventurous).
Personally I'd prefer something like Citrine or Imperial White from the Lustre range, or if you prefer less contrast ... Butterum or Jamocha Granite in the Etchings range.
You can phone Axiom for samples ... the Mocha Oak is darker than it looks in the pictures.I write blogs about kitchens ... and I design kitchens for a living ... I just love kitchens!0 -
is wood laminate a good idea for a kitchen, what happens when it gets wet?0

wood laminate will last well if you look after it. Hot water is it's worst enemy, especially if it's consistently split on the joins.0
