Hi could anyone advise me the best way I can back up my precious photos and documents on my PC on a budget? I have a LOT of photos and quite a lot of documents. A friend recommended a 2gb USB stick or two... what would you knowledgeable folk recommend? I have put some on cd but not sure if this is the best way...
thanks in advance..

I'd go for a external hard drive. Do you have Windows XP, Vista or another operating system? Vista comes with a backup programme, can't remember if XP does.
You can get a deent external USB hard drive now for £50 or a bit less, sounds like you could get away with a lower capacity (Like a 100Gb one maybe?) which have come down in price now.Total debt as at Jul 2012: Too much!0 -
I too would go for a usb2 hard drive but also back up on to dvdr just in case0

£50 sounds like quite alot, not sure if my computer is worth even that anymore! But I guess if thats by far the best method... I have Windows XP. I don't know where to start when buying an external hard drive... what do I look for? If I was to use USB pens any advice on what to look for before buying?
