Did you know that if you sponsor one new Trader, your renewal fee will be reduced to £12.50, and if you sponsor two new Trader's your renewal fee will be waived?
I am hoping to sponsor two new Trader's before my renewal is due in July!Thank you to all OPs

Just back from the York meeting. Had a really good time and came back feeling all fired up. Seeing the amount of bonus you can earn really does make me think I can do more with my Phoenix business. It's just setting myself goals, and stepping outside my comfort zone.
There's a big push on getting more ET's out this year. Last year just 49 ET's qualified, they want to make it 100 in 2009. Sales figures down on 2007 by 15%. I'm not good at taking notes so this is just off the top of my head.
The new product range is lovely as ever, I'm off to put in an order.0 -
HI,
I'm new to the forum, have been reading this thread as I am considering joining Phoenix and have sent off for the information pack.
If I do join it's with the intention of really building a business so I don't have to go back to work and can stay at home with the kids. I'm prepared for this to take time, but would like to ask how long it took you all to build up a decent customer base and recruit enough people for your efforts to be worthwhile financially. By worthwhile, I mean at least three or four hundred pounds a month on a regular basis.
I know this is a 'how long is a bit of string' sort of question, but honestly, how easy or difficult is it? How many recruits and what sort of sales are necessary to reach this level of income?
The last post is not very reassuring! Why did only 49 traders make it to ET level? Is it the sales or the recruitment that's difficult? For those who went to the meeting, how much does an ET typically earn?
Look forward to reading your answers.

Hi Liveandlearn,
Phoenix is a very ethical company and unlike all other MLM companies I have had dealings with, they make no demands on you whatsoever. This is good if you just want to join to buy cheaper product but bad if you want to build a business and dont have any "umph".
You gave a level of income you would like, I assume that is "take home" in your hand, cos as with all businesses there are two sides to every story. Sales being one and Costs being the bad boy.
To hit £400 a month sales wouldn't be too hard if you are committed to it and prepared to work hard. We are just coming up to our first annivesary, and we averaged £250 per month sales from March - Dec last year, having said that we didnt really start going properly til Sept. We are also a couple but we do have one or four children to ferry around and get babysat for us. Your skills-set and personality also will make a difference as to how hard you need to work If you can have people/friends around your house once a month, doing regular coffee mornings and card parties you will make a good business at very low costs. There are also many other ways to sell, including craft fairs, school dos and door to door.
Phoenix will put you in touch with a trader, "sponsor", and you want to grill this person and not sign until you understand all the answers and are happy to procceed.
You will need to keep a close eye on costs and try and keep them as low as possible and then some!!
I think the parent company now have had a wake up call after last year, and they know if they get more ET's there will be more sales.
As we haven't sponsored anyone yet I can't comment on that but our upline ET ( who incidently was paid the biggest bonus in the company in excess of £200,000) says don't worry it'll come!! lol so I'm not going to argue with that!! All I would say is there seems to be a company mindset shift from last year to a more "mainstream MLM belief" in that you "talk/sell" the business opportunity and the product sales will follow. I think this will cause a lot of traders some heartache as they have been brought up to do the sharing/selling and let people see what you doing, make it easy and make them want to join. But we'll see.. I'm also sure I'm in the minority with this belief!!
So basically you can achieve what you want but you will have to treat it like a business, you will have to plan, plan and plan, then you will have to do,do and do.
Anyway this piece of string has gone on long enough, so Good Luck with whatever you choose, L&L and have fun.

HI,
I signed up with Phoenix Trading in November.
To be honest I haven't done much and I'm planning on hosting a party at home to start with and to do a door to door drop this week, to get things started.
I'm also interested in doing fairs and coffee mornings, but not sure where to start.
I was suppose to be going to the traders meeting tomorrow but my son is ill, which is a shame as I was looking forward to meeting people and getting loads of ideas on getting my business going.
So if anyone on here can give me any tips or let me know some of the interesting things they have heard from the meeting, I would be interested in hearing about.
I have read through most of the posts on this forum and I have found it very informative.

Don't think there is a typical salary for an ET, some ET's might have 10 member in their team other might have 200.0
