Also it's very stressful just getting my stock out to the car as i live on a green with no road or parking spaces the car is parked quite a wayaway so takes me 4 journeys to get it in the car and thats after i have got it all down the stairs kids on toe... then go to a fete or toddler group and manage to get sales of £20 or under it's just not worth my time/effort/stress... so alas i have decided to quit and get a new hobby.
I'm hoping to get a reasonable price for my stock, i have put a reserve on but its a low reserve i think. then I'll be able to pay off my CC. :j
I am very sorry that being a Trader is not working out for you, perhaps you could consider concentrating on the sponsorship side of things instead?
Have you spoken with your ET? He/She may be able to find you a buyer for your stock within the team.Thank you to all OPs

I was hoping to have this sorted before the new year started, but life overtook me a little (as it does), so will be sitting down over a diet cola in Burger King tonight for two hours while the kids are at aikido. So I hope to have a goal which you might be kind enough to critique for me, and then encourage/bully me to keep to.
I think I'm going to set monthly targets, for example, I want to learn about door to door, so for the first three months I want to sponsor say two people a month from using the freepost cards (delivering a thousand a month to get around 30 leads to get around 2-3 to sign) - is that too optimistic or about right? Then I will aim to get to my 125 BV each month by door to door drops and see how I like it and how well it works.
Then the next three months I want to try and get my retailing and sponsoring through party-plan and folders with friends etc.
Got to plan the rest of the year. How do people feel about my ideas? I think if I aim for the stars at least I might hit the moon, not the mud!
I also need to plan a set day for support/training group meetings before they are needed. My sponsor is a lovely lady (ET) but is a retailer at heart, so her meetings are oriented that way.
Is anyone else goal-setting? What are your ideas?
Rosemary
I personally would quite like to get sponsoring this year!
My local NCT branches distribute 'goody bags' at their nearly new sales. I intend to advertise by placing a freepost card and a flyer in these bags. However, I will only advertise using this method if I am the only Phoenix Trader doing so. It may be worth contacting your local branch and asking if this advertising method is available with them.
I will continue attending toddler groups etc.Thank you to all OPs

Thanks, Skeeter
That's a great idea. I'll do that. Maybe a freepost card and a sample card paperclipped together might work.
Hmm

I am getting some flyers printed (Phoenix will add your details to one of their advertising templates, on request), since this will cost around the same (depending on quantity) as a sample card. Ideally I would use a brochure supplement and a freepost card, although in the absence of a current brochure supplement I think the flyer is the best option.Thank you to all OPs
