I have just bought my first ipod. I plugged it in and now I have my sons whole list of itunes on the ipod.
How do I get rid of them all and start again?
Thanks

This is easy enough.
When you plug the ipod in and load itunes, it should have tabs up the top which look like this:
Click on "music" and then make sure the box which says "sync music" is unticked. That means that the music won't add automatically to your ipod.
I don't know if that will delete all the music on it. If not, just click on "restore" on the first screen and that'll clear the music and reset it."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

Or get it tosync with selected playlists. Then you can either add bundles of your pre-made lists or create a new playlist, say JuneBow's ipod, and add all your fave albums to it.
We've got 2 ipods and an iphone here. Copy everything to the larger ipod and limit the playlists to the other 2. Works out quite well...Space for rent, apply within - Free trial on Thanks button though0 -
Good advice from eyelinerprincess, but unticking sync wont delete the music already synced. To do that, just click the arrow next to your iPod's name in the left hand bar. In the options that will be revealed below is "Music" click on that and then you can safely remove the songs listed in the right-hand side of the window. This will not remove them from your computer, just from the ipod.0
