Returning to Ikea

Hiya
Just after a bit of advice.
I bought some bedside tables from the Malm range at Ikea.
It doesn't state that you need to have the Malm bed to use these and so i put them together and then we realised. We've now dismantled them and reboxed them.
Will they accept them back and give a refund??

Return any unused items in their original packaging within 90 days, with your till receipt, for a full refund. Opened packages are subject to a 30% refund reduction. Our 90-day returns policy does not apply to mattresses (unless unused and in their original packaging), cut fabric, Bargain Corner purchases, or goods ordered to your specifications, e.g. custom-made worktops or sofas.

However, I do not know about the MALM range, if the item is not fit for purpose, i.e. you cannot use it without the bed (and it does not stipulate this) then you should have NO administration charges to pay. You would need to argue this point with them though.

I went and argued my point and got a full refund
