Any BdeC will take them - you don't have to have bought them there. You will be fleeced regardless - buy back rates are generally poor.

Better to sell them to a friend at a mutually advantageous rate
  • I don't bother changing my excess Euros back when I come home because I'm going to use them next time I go away, especially if it is less than 100 euros. If you can afford not to exchange them I'd hang on to them till your next holiday - I use them for taxis on arrival at the airport and something to eat on the first day.

Same here, hardly worth changing 55 Euro's to be honest.

Which, if you really have to change them, is the reason why you should follow this earlier advice:

    Hi
Have recently moved back to the UK, and due to problems with bank transfer, I had to bring a fairly large sum of euros in cash back to the uk. Where is the best place to have this exchanged into sterling with me loosing as little as possible.
    thanks

In that case there isn't a best place - they are all much of a muchness and can vary from day to day or even between different branches of the same firm. Spend half an hour wandering up and down your local High Street and choose the best. There may be at best £1 difference between them.

Go to Paddington Station and along Praed Street there are loads of exchanges. Find the best one and you'll get a rate very close to Spot :money:
